FAQ

The questions we answer most.

Can I book an appointment?

Yes — we’re reopening appointments at a Narangba, QLD location by request. Fill out the contact form at the bottom of this page and one of our stylists will be in touch.

If you’d rather try from home, our Try Before You Buy service ships showroom dresses straight to your door. Every TBYB dollar is credited back when you place your final order.

What is the Try Before You Buy service?

Pick your favourites from our TBYB range, we ship them via Australia Post, and you’ve got 7 days to try them on at home — no appointments, no pressure.

  1. Choose your TBYB dresses.
  2. Add fabric swatches for extra colour options.
  3. Try on within 7 days of delivery.
  4. Return on day 7 via express shipping (tracked).
  5. Your TBYB spend is credited towards your final dress order.

Clearance and discontinued designs are final sale and aren’t part of TBYB.

Made to Order vs Ready to Ship — what’s the difference?

Ready to ship means the dress is in stock, rather than waiting to be made. Check the availability on the individual product page. In-stock orders are usually dispatched within 1–2 business days (Monday to Friday) from Brisbane. Ready-to-ship dresses are final sale for change of mind or size.

Made to order dresses are produced just for you after you order — in your colour and size, with a lead time depending on the designer: usually 2–6 weeks for Dressology and 8–16 weeks for other made-to-order designers. Because each one is made to order, they can’t be returned for change of mind. We recommend ordering at least 16 weeks before your wedding.

Ready-to-ship delivery times

In-stock orders are usually dispatched within 1–2 business days (Monday to Friday) from Brisbane.

  • Australia Express: 1–2 business days to metro, up to 5 business days elsewhere.
  • Parcel Post: 3–10 business days to metro, 5–15 business days elsewhere.
  • International: contact us for a quote and timeframe.
Made-to-order timing & rush options

Most made-to-order dresses have an 8–16 week production lead time; Dressology is usually 2–6 weeks. Check the specific product page before ordering. For safety, we recommend ordering at least 16 weeks out to allow for shipping and alterations.

Need it sooner? Many designers offer rush production. Send us a note with your wedding date and we’ll check what’s possible.

Sizing & size range

We stock sizes 00–40 AU / XS–5XL depending on designer. Every product page has a designer-specific size chart — measure yourself (or ask a seamstress) and compare to that specific chart, not a generic one.

Not sure? Try Before You Buy lets you try two sizes at home before you commit.

Pregnant or post-pregnant bridesmaids

We have maternity options across several designers. As a rough guide: under 4 months pregnant at the wedding, size up in your usual style; over 4 months, choose a maternity-cut style with extra belly room. Don’t forget bust size changes through pregnancy and postpartum.

Chat to a stylist — tell us your wedding date and current measurements and we’ll recommend from there.

Dress return & exchange policy

Ready-to-ship dresses, including Need It Now styles, are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged for a change of mind or size. This dress policy also applies to ready-to-ship Talia Sarah and Dressology dresses.

Made-to-order dresses are also final sale for change of mind or size. Check the designer-specific size guide before ordering, ask our team for sizing help, and use Try Before You Buy where a suitable sample is available. See the full returns policy for conditions and faulty-item information.

Faulty items are always covered. Contact us within 7 days of delivery if anything’s wrong.

Robes, pyjamas & cami sets — returns
  • Eligible robes, pyjamas and cami sets can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery. Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility.
  • Items must be unopened, sealed in original packaging, new condition.
  • Personalised / embroidered items, worn items, slippers: not returnable.
  • Email [email protected] with your order number to start a return.
What are dye lots?

A dye lot is a batch of fabric dyed together. Because dyeing is an organic process, slight colour variations can occur between separate batches — which matters when your bridal party orders as a group.

If your bridesmaids are ordering separately: add a note in the “comments” field at checkout — e.g. “Smith bridal party” — so we can match dye lots across all the dresses.

How to return an item
  1. Check above to confirm your item is eligible.
  2. Email [email protected] with your order number — we’ll send return shipping details.
  3. Ship via Australia Post Express with tracking; hang onto the tracking number.
  4. On safe arrival we’ll inspect and process your refund or exchange within 3 business days.
Full shipping schedule

In-stock orders are usually dispatched within 1–2 business days (Monday to Friday) from Brisbane. Transit time is additional and depends on your address and chosen service. See the shipping page for Australian shipping methods and costs.

Made to order: check the individual product page for its production lead time. Dressology production is usually 2–6 weeks; other made-to-order designers generally take 8–16 weeks. Allow additional time for delivery and alterations.

International: contact us for a quote.

How to take your measurements

A soft measuring tape, snug but not tight, parallel to the floor. We recommend a professional seamstress if you can — and remeasure if your body changes between order and wedding.

Bust: around the fullest part, wearing the bra (or similar thickness) you’ll wear with the dress.
Waist: around the narrowest part of your natural waist.
Hip: around the fullest part of your hips.
